M.D. Roman Kufa on Plastic Surgery…

„Plastic surgery as a medicine branch did not enchant me until my studies in Cambridge, England. While studying medical school, I still couldn’t make up my mind as to what I would like to put my mind to after I graduated. I flirted with architecture for some time, but surgery, as the queen of medicine, ultimately prevailed. Its specialized branch – plastic surgery – is not so dramatically tied to life and death, but nevertheless, considering its quality, it is a phenomenon. Plastic surgery can help, not only functionally, but psychologically above all. Namely the aesthetic surgery has a very strong influence in this aspect.

My workplace is here for anybody wishing to modify their appearance, something they are not satisfied with, and something they feel uncomfortable about, no matter whether for health reasons or for mental reasons. As I am usually in favour of a natural appearance, I do everything I can to make the results of my work and my team’s work not apparent at first sight. That should not be the aim of aesthetic surgeries. The change should first of all be experienced by the patient himself/herself.“
