INFORMATION ABOUT THE PROCEDURE

What is hair transplantation?

Hair transplantation is a gentle and effective procedure that restores the hairline to its natural appearance and restores density where hair is missing. Hair transplantation is a suitable solution especially for so-called androgenetic alopecia.

It is a microsurgical procedure in which hair bulbs (grafts) are removed from dense areas (most often the back of the neck) and replanted in areas with hair loss – such as the temples, the crown or scars from trauma. Modern techniques produce natural results with only inconspicuous small scars. It is performed using the FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) method – the most modern and minimally invasive technique, where the hair graft is removed manually with a thin microneedle without a scalpel or stitches. The entire procedure is done in an outpatient setting with minimal recovery time. The transplanted grafts are no longer subject to degeneration under the influence of mainly dihydrotestosterone (which happens mainly in the temples or vertex area) and are no longer subject to androgenetic alopecia.
