INFORMATION ABOUT THE PROCEDURE

What is endoscopically assisted septoplasty?

Endoscopically assisted septoplasty offers a modern and gentle treatment of nasal septal deviation, which can cause chronic nasal congestion, impaired breathing and reduced sleep quality. It is a minimally invasive surgical procedure that uses an endoscope to accurately identify and treat the deviated part of the nasal septum. This procedure allows for better visibility in anatomically less accessible areas of the back of the nose and more detailed treatment of the mucosa. It minimises damage to the surrounding tissues and reduces recovery time. The procedure takes approximately 45–60 minutes.

EVLA is a gentle alternative to conventional surgery – with less pain, shorter recovery and better cosmetic results. The advantage is that it is performed under ultrasound control. The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia, when a diluted anaesthetic is injected into the vein area. This ensures low painfulness of the procedure and protection of the surrounding tissue from overheating. In some cases, it is possible to use a combination with analgosedation or general anaesthesia at the client’s request. The procedure takes 30–60 minutes.
