Preparation before treatment

  • It is advisable to shave the intimate parts the day before (not on the day of the procedure)
  • Avoid consuming alcoholic beverages and caffeinated beverages for 24 hours before the procedure

Treatment

  • Duration: Approximately 20–30 minutes
  • Procedure: The doctor treats the area of the vaginal mucosa painlessly with a laser. The laser treatment itself takes a few minutes and can be compared to a gynaecological examination in terms of sensation.

Number of repetitions

  • The beneficial effect of the treatment is noticeable already after a week, the maximum effect is achieved in the first 3 months. The results usually persist for at least another 12 months, but this is dependent on individual factors. We recommend 2–3 treatments 4–6 weeks apart.

What to watch out for

  • In the 12 months prior to the treatment, we recommend a preventive gynaecological examination.
  • Discontinuation of contraception is not necessary. The procedure should be performed after menstruation, not before it. The treatment is not performed during menstruation.

  • Avoid physical activity and sexual intercourse

  • Pregnant or breastfeeding women
  • People with serious gynaecological disease
  • During menstruation

Possible complications are rare and may include:

  • Mild discomfort or irritation, which will subside over a few hours, may be expected immediately after the treatment.
