What is Facial Lipofilling?

Lipofilling is a modern method that uses your own fat to fill and regenerate your face – without foreign substances. Lipofilling is a procedure in which a small amount of fat is removed from the body (usually the abdomen or thighs), which is then modified and injected into selected areas of the face. The fat behaves naturally, does not cause allergic reactions and contains stem cells that rejuvenate the skin. Approximately 50–70% of the applied fat is permanently retained. The result is then long-lasting, without the need for fillers.

Medium restrictions: 2–3 days of rest after the procedure

Recommendations

  • Rest for 2–3 days
  • Swelling and bruising gradually subside within 2 weeks
  • Avoid massage or pressure on the treated area
  • Avoid sports and physical exertion for at least 2 weeks
  • Do not overheat the treatment site for the first 3 weeks (solarium, sauna)
  • The final result is visible in 1–2 months

Possible complications

The treatment is not suitable for people with:

  • Lack of subcutaneous fat for harvesting
  • Blood clotting disorders
  • Acute infection or inflammation

Possible complications are rare and may include:

  • Asymmetry, temporary swelling
  • A small portion of the fat can be absorbed
  • Rarely infection or fatty cyst
