Prof. MUDr. René Foltán, Ph. D. specialises in corrective surgery of facial bones, traumatology and reconstructive microsurgery after head and neck tumour surgery.
He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Charles University in Hradec Králové, specialising in dentistry and general medicine. He is a holder of the attestation in oral and maxillofacial surgery. He obtained the title of Associate Professor at the First Faculty of Medicine at Charles University, where he serves as a professor. He also worked at Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford, United Kingdom, and in Zurich, Switzerland. He acted as the representative of the Czech Republic in the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the European Association of Cranio-Maxillofacial Surgery.
He is the chairman of the CzMA Czech Society of Maxillofacial Surgery. In his private practice, he focuses on large-scale cosmetic facial procedures. He holds a position at the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Dental Clinic of the General University Hospital in Prague and at the First Faculty of Medicine at Charles University. His work took him to Australia, Germany and Austria. He also spent three years working at a prestigious clinic in London.
