What is breast augmentation using the Preservé method?

Breast augmentation using the Preservé method represents an innovative approach to breast enlargement that emphasizes maximum gentleness toward breast tissue. Unlike traditional augmentation, the procedure minimizes disruption to the gland, nerve endings, and supporting structures, helping to preserve the natural movement, sensitivity, and softness of the breasts.

The implant is inserted using a delicate technique in which tissues are spread rather than cut. This can lead to faster healing and reduced postoperative discomfort. A major advantage of this method is the possibility of performing the procedure without general anesthesia – it is often carried out under local anesthesia with analgosedation, shortening recovery time and reducing strain on the body.

In our clinic, we use only implants with a high degree of global certification for use in terms of quality and safety. Implants can be round, which create a fuller upper breast, or anatomical – droplet-shaped, which mimic the natural slope of a woman’s breast.

The Preservé method uses specialized instruments and a gentle technique to create a pocket for the implant. The surgeon proceeds very carefully to preserve nerves, blood vessels, and supporting connective tissue structures of the breast.
The implant is most commonly inserted through a small incision in the inframammary fold, typically about 2–3 cm long, which becomes almost invisible after healing. By preserving natural anatomy, the breasts move more naturally and the implant remains more stable.

Preoperative examination

  • ECG, blood tests, possibly sonography of the breasts
  • It is possible to undergo an examination at our clinic
  • Blood test results must not be older than 14 days before the procedure
  • Inform the doctor about the medicines and supplements you are taking

Preparation before the procedure

  • 7 days before the procedure, take out blood thinners
  • 24 h before the procedure no smoking
  • 12 h before the operation do not eat, drink alcohol or coffee
  • Do not use body creams and perfumes on the day of the procedure

Procedure

  • The procedure takes approximately 45 minutes
  • The implant is most often inserted through a small incision in the inframammary fold, about 2–3 cm long
  • A postoperative bra is applied immediately in the operating room

After the procedure

  • Short rest at the clinic followed by discharge to home care
  • Instructions on postoperative care and scar care
  • Breasts remain supported by a postoperative bra
  • Arrange transportation home – you will not be able to drive immediately after the procedure

Follow up

  • 7-14 days after the procedure a follow-up with the surgeon takes place
  • Stitches are absorbable and do not need to be removed

Sonographic examination:

  • Regular annual check-ups are recommended
  • These can be performed directly at our clinic

Aftercare

Increased restriction: Rest regime for one week after the procedure

Recommendations

  • Wear the elastic bra continuously for 4 weeks
  • Sleep on your back for 2-3 weeks
  • Rest for the first week, no heavy lifting
  • Return to normal routine usually in 7 days
  • Sports and more demanding physical activity after approximately 4 weeks
  • Scar massage from 2nd to 3rd week for better healing

The procedure is not suitable for:

  • Individuals under 18 years of age
  • Pregnant and breastfeeding women
  • Breasts with significant ptosis (sagging)
  • Patients with serious medical conditions

Possible complications are rare and may include:

  • Swelling, bleeding, or infection
  • Healing issues, capsular contracture
  • Individual body reactions
